Rob has a music store. His girlfriend Laura breaks up with him and Rob is trying to find an explanation for why his girlfriends abandon him. He contacts his former girlfriends to get an answer. His whole life center around music and it feels like he's still in his teens and judge people by their taste in music. His longing for Laura is strong and afterwards he seems to take a more adult role. It took time to read the book because I lost interest pretty soon. Unfortunately, not a book that felt good to spend time on but it is possible it may be higher score on a second reading. On the other hand I did not like the movie either. But sometimes it's just the wrong time to read a book or see a movie. What you do not like might proceed much another time
